Time to Plant Your Vegetable Garden
Investing in a garden planner tool will save you time and money. It can help you visually plan the design of your garden, or teach you how and when to sow, plant, care for, and harvest your garden crops. You can purchase a garden planner at Baileys or online. There are excellent online garden planners that are free, too!
Gardeners Supply Company- Kitchen Garden Planner This kitchen garden planner by the Gardeners Supply Company is quite basic but is ideal if you only need a planner for figuring out where to grow your veggies, and it is completely free to use. Unlike many traditional planners, this planner can be based on the square footage you have available rather than rows, therefore maximizes your potential growing space. You can drag and drop different plants into the grid to customize your design, or you can use one of the 16 pre-determined plans adjusted to fit into your own space.
Smart Gardener requires a paid subscription if you want to have access to all of the features, but they do offer a free demo garden planner, which is well worth a try and will be sufficient for most people’s needs.
Better Homes and Gardens- Plan-A-Garden This garden planning app is a free tool from Better Homes and Gardens; all you need to do to get full access is sign up for an account with their website. This planner is easy to use, benefitting from a simple drag and drop method, and it explains everything you need to know thoroughly in a helpful wizard before you begin.

Give Your Veggies a Companion!
Many herbs such as dill, parsley, rosemary, sage, basil, nasturtium can be great companion herbs to help attract pollinators and beneficial insects like parasitic wasps, ladybugs, and butterflies to your gardens.
Additionally, aphids, spider mites, and hornworms and some other common pests can be repelled by use of some of these herbs and plants
